1. Introduction
Cleaner AI: Free Up Space ("Cleaner AI", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is designed to help users analyze, organize, clean, compress, and privately store content on their Apple devices.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how that information is used, what information may be stored on your device, and how permissions are handled.
Cleaner AI is designed around data minimization and on-device processing wherever reasonably possible. The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or other profile information in order to use its core functionality.
2. Information We Collect
Cleaner AI does not require a user account and does not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, postal address, phone number, or email address in order to provide its core cleaning, compression, or Vault features.
The App may request permission to access certain categories of data that already exist on your device, including your photo library, contacts, and calendar. Access to these data categories occurs only after you grant the relevant permission through iOS.
Accessing device data for a feature does not necessarily mean that the data is collected or transmitted. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in this policy, Cleaner AI processes these data locally on your device for the purpose of providing the feature you requested.
3. Photos and Videos
Cleaner AI may request access to your Photos library in order to provide features such as:
- duplicate photo detection;
- similar photo detection;
- blurry photo detection;
- screenshot identification;
- large video identification;
- photo and video compression;
- storage analysis;
- media selection and deletion; and
- importing media into the private Vault.
Photo and video analysis is performed for the purpose of identifying content that may help you reduce storage usage or organize your media.
Cleaner AI does not automatically delete photos or videos. Any deletion action requires user interaction and confirmation where applicable.
When you choose to delete an item from your Photos library, the action is performed through Apple's Photos framework and is subject to the behavior and recovery mechanisms provided by iOS, including the Recently Deleted album where applicable.
4. Photo and Video Compression
Cleaner AI can create compressed versions of selected photos and videos. The App processes the selected media for the purpose of reducing file size according to the quality level chosen by you.
Cleaner AI does not intentionally upload your selected photos or videos to our own servers for compression.
Temporary files may be created locally while compression is being performed. These files are used only as necessary to complete the requested operation and are intended to be removed when no longer required.
5. Contacts
Cleaner AI may request access to your Contacts in order to provide tools such as duplicate-contact detection, incomplete-contact identification, and contact merging.
Contact data accessed by the App is used to analyze and present potential duplicates or incomplete records to you.
Cleaner AI does not automatically merge or delete contacts without your action. Destructive or modifying operations require explicit user interaction.
6. Calendar
Cleaner AI may request access to your Calendar in order to identify items such as old events or potential duplicate events.
Calendar information is used only to provide the calendar-management features available within the App.
Cleaner AI does not automatically remove calendar events. Event deletion or modification requires user action and, where applicable, confirmation.
7. Private Vault
Cleaner AI includes a private Vault feature that allows you to store selected media within the App's private local storage.
Content imported into the Vault is stored within the App's sandboxed storage on your device. The Vault is intended to prevent ordinary access to that content from outside the App.
Importing media into the Vault does not automatically delete the original item from your Photos library.
Vault content remains subject to normal device-level risks, including loss of the device, deletion of the App, device failure, or loss of local data where no backup exists.
8. Face ID and Touch ID
Where supported by your device, Cleaner AI may allow you to use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock or protect access to the Vault.
Biometric authentication is performed by Apple's system frameworks. Cleaner AI does not receive, store, or have access to your underlying Face ID facial map, fingerprint data, or biometric templates.
9. Device and Storage Information
Cleaner AI may access device storage information made available by iOS, such as available storage capacity and related system-provided storage values, in order to display storage summaries and potential storage savings.
These values are used to provide the App's storage-management interface and are not used to identify you personally.
10. Analytics and Tracking
Cleaner AI is designed to minimize unnecessary data collection.
Unless explicitly disclosed through the App or App Store privacy information, Cleaner AI does not use your photos, videos, contacts, calendar content, or Vault content for advertising or cross-app tracking.
If analytics, diagnostics, crash-reporting, advertising, or other third-party software is added to the App in the future, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated as required.
11. Third-Party Services
Cleaner AI relies on Apple frameworks and services including, where applicable, Photos, Contacts, EventKit, LocalAuthentication, and other iOS system services.
Your use of Apple services is also subject to Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party services that are outside our control.
12. Data Sharing
Cleaner AI does not sell your photos, videos, contacts, calendar content, Vault content, or biometric information.
We do not intentionally share such content with data brokers or advertising networks.
Information may be disclosed where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
13. Data Retention and Deletion
Much of the information used by Cleaner AI remains on your device and is controlled directly through the relevant Apple applications, system settings, or Cleaner AI itself.
You can revoke permissions for Photos, Contacts, Calendar, and other protected resources through iOS Settings.
Vault data can be removed through the App. Deleting Cleaner AI from your device may also remove locally stored App data, including Vault content, subject to Apple's operating-system behavior and any backups you maintain.
14. Data Security
We use reasonable technical measures available through Apple's platforms to protect data handled by the App.
Local Vault files are stored within the App's sandbox and may use Apple's file-protection mechanisms where supported.
No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, passcode, Apple Account, backups, and any PIN used within Cleaner AI.
15. Children's Privacy
Cleaner AI is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through an account-registration or profiling system.

16. Your Choices and Controls
You remain in control of the permissions granted to Cleaner AI. Depending on your device and operating-system version, you may:
- grant or revoke Photos access;
- grant or revoke Contacts access;
- grant or revoke Calendar access;
- enable or disable biometric authentication;
- delete Vault content; and
- delete Cleaner AI from your device.
17. International Users
Cleaner AI may be made available in multiple countries and regions. Privacy rights and legal requirements may differ depending on where you live.
Where applicable law grants you additional rights that apply to data actually controlled by us, you may contact us to exercise those rights.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
When we make changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and the "Last Updated" date will be revised.
